Our Story

This simple truth inspired the creation of Heal India - a mission born from compassion and a collective desire to serve those often overlooked.


In 2010, while working at a public healthcare facility in a densely populated, poverty-stricken area of West Delhi, Dr. Lakshmi Pal witnessed the immense struggles of daily wage workers and laborers. She saw how difficult it was for them to access even basic medical care. Long queues, bureaucratic delays, and a shortage of resources meant that people often spent entire days waiting for help - sacrificing their earnings just to be seen. Moved by their resilience and burdened by the broken system, Dr. Pal decided to act.


Heal India was founded to bring healthcare directly to those who need it most - cutting through red tape, reaching underserved areas, and restoring dignity through timely, compassionate care.

Our future project

Empowering Girls Through Health and Hygiene

As part of our continued commitment to menstrual health, Heal India is launching a new initiative to install sanitary pad vending machines in government and low-income schools. This project aims to ensure adolescent girls have safe, dignified, and consistent access to menstrual hygiene products—helping reduce absenteeism and supporting their health, confidence, and education.


In collaboration with local schools and community partners, we’ll also conduct awareness-building and menstrual health education sessions, focusing on long-term impact and sustainability.


We are deeply grateful to our donors, supporters, and well-wishers whose generosity has already helped us provide free sanitary pads and health services to hundreds of girls.
